Biography - Jennifer Morrison Godshalk
Colorado fine artist Jennifer Morrison Godshalk is a self taught artist who has developed her own colorful, unique contemporary style. Her works are often noted for their vibrant, layered colors. She is driven by an incredible passion for self expression through her love of contemporary, colorful paintings.
Having been a horse owner and her daughters winning grand champion at local horse shows, Jennifer has a deep love for horses and specializes in equine paintings. Utilizing color and texture, her work captures their powerful, graceful movements and expressions.
Tragedy struck Jennifer and her children in 2011 when her husband of 20 years who suffered from severe depression ended his life. Because of financial strain, they were forced to sell their horses.
But God is faithful! Jennifer has grown and learned much from her life experience. She found new love in her life and remarried in 2012. With strong emotional support and encouragement from her new husband, Jennifer's work has enhanced in detail and beauty.
Jennifer's artwork is now premiered in upscale restaurants in Colorado including LODO Downtown Denver.
Jennifer has participated in prestigious exhibitions including The Pro Rodeo Hall Of Fame in Colorado Springs, Colorado which featured her work in a solo exhibition in April 2011. Jennifer has also exhibited at the Beaver Creek Art Festival in Vail, Colorado and at the Madden Museum Of Art in the Denver Technological Center. Her work is featured in the May 2014 issue of Southwest Art Magazine spotlighting Colorado Artists.
Jennifer is the official Jazz Celebration Artist of the 2014 Telluride Jazz Festival.
Jennifer's work is represented by Elinoff Gallery in Telluride, Colorado and A+Y Design Gallery in Montrose, Colorado.
